This is a fire fighting novel based in a cold Canadian winter with a variety of characters and a unique plot line. The fire fighters are charged with protecting an abandoned city that is evacuated due to increasing intensity of the polar vortex causing extreme freezing, while a group of gangs attempts to pillage what remains in the city.

About the Author

Edward Yatscoff was born in Welland, Ontario. After living in Australia and backpacking around the world, he met Gloria on a freighter in the South China Sea. They married and moved to Beaumont, Alberta and have three children much smarter than Edward. After 32 years with Edmonton Fire Rescue he retired as a station captain and is the first author to write firefighter novels in Canada. He's swum with a marlin in Honduras, climbed the Great Wall of China, was accused of throwing eggs at an Aussie PM, and survived the 1979 revolution in Grenada. He continues to travel, write, and enjoy the outdoors.
