About the Author

From a large Catholic musical family, Julia studied French, music and English at A-level, in a girls' grammar school in Newcastle-upon-Tyne in north-east England. She ventured south... to Manchester, where she took a degree in French with Drama at the university there. She has been a French teacher, actor, Deaf teacher, piano teacher and now writer/teacher. Julia wrote a play, 'Touched', for Edinburgh Fringe Festival, which gained 5* reviews. She is currently writing her second novel - a sequel to the first, 'If Everyone Knew Every Plant And Tree'. She has lived in twenty-one different places, including Philly and LA, and currently flits between Falmouth, Cornwall and London. Apart from writing and teaching, she loves singing.
