Carole Fowkes is the author of The Terrified Detective mystery series, which take place in Cleveland, Ohio, where she's originally from. She goes back often to visit family and eat mouth-watering Italian food. When she returns to her current home in Dallas, Texas, she burns off those calories with exercise and yoga. Of course, even while she's on the treadmill, she's dreaming of chocolate-y brownies and cookies. In a different vein, Carole is also a frequent contributor to various Chicken Soup for the Soul books and other similar anthologies.
