Simone Beaudelaire

About the Author

Ever since early childhood, Simone Beaudelaire has told stories. She told them to her younger siblings, her friends, even herself. Every game had a plot. Every character had a back story. A quiet and introverted child, Beaudelaire often had to rely on her imaginary friendships to supplement the lack of friends in her everyday life. As the years passed, Beaudelaire found herself even more isolated, due to a series of cross-country and international moves. Her stories began to take shape with characters and events speaking clearly in her mind. These provided solace against the bullies who naturally take aim at the new kid. So while she did not enjoy middle school (who does?) the process gave her material to write several stories. As time went by, these narratives of strength and support took a decidedly romantic turn, in keeping with her reading preferences.
