Born and raised in West Tennessee, Bill was taught a love of the natural world early in life. With two uncles buried at Arlington he also learned first-hand about the sacrifices America's military personnel make for their country.
Reading has always been part of his life, with emphasis on military history, science fiction and fantasy. Bullied as a child he escaped into fantastic worlds inhabited by hobbits and Cimmerians and space marines. There's nothing better than a laser blaster or broadsword for taking down a bully.
As an adult nothing has changed, except now he can indulge his passion for seeing this awesome Earth.
