#PRÓLOGO.#
El título de _Filosofía fundamental_, no significa una pretension vanidosa, sino el objeto de que se trata. No me lisonjeo en fundar de filosofía, pero me propongo examinar sus cuestiones fundamentales; por esto llamo á la obra: _Filosofía fundamental_. Me ha impulsado á publicarla el deseo de contribuir á que los estudios filosóficos adquieran en España mayor amplitud de la que tienen en la actualidad; y de prevenir, en cuanto alcancen mis débiles fuerzas, un grave peligro que nos amenaza: el de introducirsenos una filosofía plagada de errores trascendentales.
