I love Samantha books - I first discovered them as an antique collector. I happened on some old books (some of which I actually read.)
My first one was "Samantha Among the Brethren" which I read numerous times. I then discovered there were others which I have also collected.
They are a humorous insight of life in an earlier century. She pokes fun at many of our human foibles, and shows that although times have changed from her day, people haven't.
