The Big Caper

by Lionel White

A great read. More of a character study than a crime caper. The story flows together seamlessly.

Scaramouche

by Rafael Sabatini

A masterpiece! A swahbuckling epic that carries you along. Sabatini's dialogue is absolutely wonderful. A must read.

High Priest of California

by Charles Willeford

I agree with Alan Loewen's review. The protagonist is a scumbag with an odd fascination on classical music and literature. Other than that, he has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. A slightly disturbing read. I enjoyed it.

The Whip Hand

by Charles Willeford

Wow! What a page-turner! I read this book in one day. More twists and turns than a plate of spaghetti. Pulp fiction at it's very finest
