December Love

by Robert Hichens

adela sellingworth was a renowned beauty in her youth, whose sense of self worth came entirely from the admiration she received for her looks. This novel is about the struggles and humiliations she goes through as she tries to come to terms with ageing and her loss of looks.
This is a really good book with themes which seem very relevant today, and a plot with sufficient dramatic tension to keep the reader involved and interested to the end. Highly recommended.

Little Women

by Louisa May Alcott

My Great-Aunt read this book to me when I was 8 or 10. I loved Beth so much. That's probably why Beth is my 23year old's name.

Author of the Day

David Niall Wilson
David Niall Wilson has had experiences in real life that can rival anything you would find in a novel. It is a good thing too, as the stories he collected while walking these strange and interesting paths has shaped him as a writer. David is not only the author of numerous novels and short stories, but also runs his own print, digital and audio publishing company. This makes him a busy man indeed, but we did manage to catch up with him to find out more about his novel, Nevermore, his fascination with history and some of his most unique travel experiences.
