Time Crime

One of the many Paratime tales. Piper was a decent writer but I find these weak due to lack of emotion, no feeling of empathy toward the hero, strange advanced technology such as :boomeranr balls" and goofy character names. That aside, this has a degree of interest.

A good (but not original) premise poorly done. The characters are simply unrealistic, the situations not much better.

Dan Merrithew

by Lawrence Perry

Another of those tales with a hero who\'s simply too good to be true. The story is saved, though, by the fact that this particular hero trails bad luck after himself like a personal black cloud, similar to Joe Btfsplk. Plenty of action and excitement.
