Pretty good story. It starts really slow but picks up near the end. If your kids like a magical adventure story, they will like this. And if you are just a big kid, you'd like it too.
Really interesting short story. Short and quick, it makes you think about the dark side of this "utopian" society.
This short story, without a doubt, is worth a 5 star rating! Written in in the early 20th century, it is hauntingly prophetic of today's times, and for that reason leaves the reader with quite a chill! Download it now.
When I began reading this book I was convinced that the saccharine Pollyanna would wear me down. She didn't. I ended up thoroughly enjoying this book and am quite surprised that this being an American classic, yet so little people have read it? I'd expect more reviews and more downloads! The bottom line is, if you want to instil in your kids the importance of a positive attitude, read them this book! Also: there's a sequel on manybooks.net called "Pollyanna grows up". I will be checking out this book soon as well :)
