You can almost hear the audience hiss when the villain comes on stage.
The plot is completely transparent, the the characters are two dimensional puppets. But the whole thing hangs together as it's type
If you enjoy beautiful heroine is bravely casting themselves s in the face of danger and sgifty smirking villains you will enjoy this. If rali is you thong you will hate it.
A little known but brilliant writer.
I enjoyed it immensely, and can\'t help imagining a young Georgette Heyer, sitting at home reading it. It does not have the sparkle of her books but it reads like an influence, and perhaps in the depths of feeling observed it is more satisfying. I hope others will enjoy as much as I have.

If you don't enjoy this story I can't vimagine where you are coming from.
Romance!
Still if you haven't read the lone wolf you may enjoy this as you will not have the contrast.
The story is one of redemption, the characters very individual and well drawn. The style and types are
typical of the time. It is not fast moving but is beautiful in many ways and the story has its twists and turns.
Read and enjoy. An unusual book.
