Prayers and Meditations

by Baha'u'llah

As the title suggests, this book is a collection of various prayers and meditations that Bahá'u'lláh revealed to mankind. The reader can find almost any subject here and read what Bahá'u'lláh, Prophet Founder of the Bahá'i Faith, wrote about that subject.

The prayers themselves reveal much and contribute to ones understanding of the world we live in.

This book is recommended to the serious student of religion in general and the Bahá'i Faith in particular.

Selections From the Writings of the Báb

by The Báb

This book not only gives the reader an insight into the conditions of the 1800s in Persia, but also into the overwhelming devotion of the author, The Bab (English translation - The Gate) to the glorification of God and to the announcement that a new messenger from God was about to be revealed.

This man was the forerunner of Baha'u'llah, the prophet founder of the Baha'i Faith. Because He dared to suggest that another messenger from God was forthcoming, He was shot and killed by the Persian military. If you are a student of religion, this is a "must read" book.

Gleanings from the Writings of Bahá'u'lláh

by Baha'u'llah

Bahá'u'lláh, the Prophet Founder of the Baha'i Faith, wrote over 100 volumes Himself. This book is as the title suggests, Gleanings of those writings to all of Mankind.

The main purpose of the Baha'i religion is to unify the planets inhabitants, yet recognize and honor the differences that exist in mankind. As one of the quotes Bahá'u'lláh wrote says, "Ye are the fruits of one tree and the leaves of one branch."

If you believe in the essential oneness of mankind, this collection of writings will make sense to an otherwise confusing thought.

The Kitab-i-Aqdas

by Baha'u'llah

Every religion has had a successive revelation of laws applicable to mankind's development at that period of existence. The Book Of Laws (The Kitab-i-Aqdas) is the book of laws from The Prophet Founder of the Baha'i Faith, Bahá'u'lláh, for this era in mankind's development. These laws will become applicable, according to Bahá'u'lláh Himself, as the Baha'i Universal House of Justice makes them so.

This is an insight into what the Baha'i Faith sees as the laws for this era in mankind's development and gives an insight into this newest Revelation from God for all of mankind.
