The Bible

by Anonymous

Anonymous? I can hardly say that the Bible was written by anonymous, but I digress...
For those nay-sayers who think the Bible is myth and not worth reading, I would disagree. At the very least, it is useful for life. Just read the Proverbs and the Psalms and the teachings of Jesus (Do unto others and you would have them do unto you...how could that be rubbish?). The amazing thing is that its not just a guide for how to live a good life, its the story of a God who loves people so much that he would die for them even after they turned his back on them.
Easily the greatest story ever told.
(I just wish the translation was different...that\'s why it gets 4 stars and not 5)

A Wasted Day

by Richard Harding Davis

A wasted day is not really an adventure story but more of a courtroom drama. The central character unwillingly goes to court to speak on behalf of a convicted criminal. The central character gets more than he bargained for from the experience. A nice little story which is clear and well written.

Frictional Electricity

by Charles Heber Clark

Nice, quick little story about a man who hypnotises a friend by accident. The friend eventually goes after the man who ends up in a great deal of trouble. Worth the quick read.
