In the Pecos Country

by Lieutenant R.H. Jayne

Interesting book, but it ends in the middle of the tale, and the sequel is not on this website. Quite a letdown, with the protagonist in quite a fix, and no way to know how it turns out.

With Fire and Sword

by Henryk Sienkiewicz

Absolutely the highest literature Sienkiewicz was a genius with the pen and was idolized by MIchener. HIs stories are spell bou8nding and you will not be able to put the books down

Deathworld

by Harry Harrison

Despite some of the negative comments below this book is a great read. I first read it in 1960 and it is still a first rate book.
