The Misspellers

by Michael J. Martineck

A fun little piece of tween lit. The premise was engaging, and aside from a few choice typos like 'Stone Hedge' or 'at ounce', the writing was quite nice. :)

The Wreckers of Sable Island

by J. Macdonald Oxley

A somewhat hollow, but fun little adventure story. Doesn't stack up against Verne or anything, but it's nice for a quick read. :)

Black Jack

by Max Brand

Very nice, thoroughly enjoyable. :)The ending was a bit rushed, but the characters and their relationships more that made up for it. Recommended. :)

Author of the Day

Angela Roquet
Angela Roquet loves everything macabre - with a dash of comedy. She is also fascinated by world religions, the afterlife and mythology. Today, Roquet talks to us about what inspired her book, Graveyard Shift, why she has a female reaper in the leading role and how she used to raise eyebrows in public with the types of books she was reading.
