The Misspellers

by Michael J. Martineck

A fun little piece of tween lit. The premise was engaging, and aside from a few choice typos like 'Stone Hedge' or 'at ounce', the writing was quite nice. :)

The Wreckers of Sable Island

by J. Macdonald Oxley

A somewhat hollow, but fun little adventure story. Doesn't stack up against Verne or anything, but it's nice for a quick read. :)

Black Jack

by Max Brand

Very nice, thoroughly enjoyable. :)The ending was a bit rushed, but the characters and their relationships more that made up for it. Recommended. :)

As our author of the day, LaGreca talks about what she calls the "Gen-genre", reveals her writing habits and chats about why she likes to let her books stew a bit before publishing.
