I do not understand how this book is getting such a high rating. Too much of the book is taken up with B-movie style lovie-dovey talk and Sylviana is more like a 1950s caricture of a woman. Why does the commnader of the NASA crew sound like he escaped from the 1950s as well? Also so much is left unresolved, what is the story with "the aliens" and the ability to talk to the Sun? Had the potential to be a great story but poorly put together.
Great story but read as if Google Translate had converted it from French or some other language. What ever happened to spell check, grammer and paragraphs. You run straight from one character into another and have to backtrack to figure out who you are reading about.
Could have been five star but only worth two as is.
A fantastic story. Its hard to believe back in 1909 that the author predicted an internet of sorts. Pity this was never made into a film like Metropolis was.
A great story, impossible to put down. Only niggly thing was what happened to Starr after she was captured by the Fenrites? Other than that a great story.
Fantastic read, couldn't put it down. Also love that the author gave a bit of history of how it was written on a C64. The only diaappointing thing is the In Darkness Bound is only available in mobipocket and not pdf.
