When I down loaded then opened this e-pub, it was not The Story of Isaac Brock but rather a book called Castles and Cave Dwellings of Europe and was about just that and nothing to do with Isaac Brock. A most disappointing shock.

I found this book interesting, held my attention and was an interesting look into life in the late 1800's. There was a small amount of racial opinion expressed that did not detract greatly from the enjoyment.
I wish I had followed the travels with maps but did not think of doing so until well through the book.

"must have been written before terrorists ran amuck"
Well, yeah - 1958 is a bit of a giveaway.
And MAD did actually result in a lasting, if inordinately tense (for those of us who lived through it), peace.
