I could never understand the claim that this is a good book. I have read it first time while I was 14 years old and did not like it. At the age of 40 I have decided to give it yet another try, assuming that possibly I was too young when I first read it. Alas - same boredom. I am keen reader of books, in many literary styles and periods, and yet I could not find what was so good about it. What is it that make people think that this is a great book? I wander... maybe I will retry it at 80 if I am still around...
