A Prisoner in Fairyland

by Algernon Blackwood

I wouldn't call this horror. It's fantasy but not the usual stuff. It's a lovely tale, old-fashioned and a little slow.

If you can settle down with this story, you'll enjoy it hugely. I did.

A truly awesome book. I loved everything about this book: the story, the characters, the writing style. Can highly recommend this book.

Loved it, totally loved it!

I don't agree with the other reviewer who said it was too long, I think it was fine. It does need some editing, the ePub version did have some issues

The Demon Girl

by Penelope Fletcher

Excellent book. Great story, great characters and a sense of humour in there, even.

Book does not editing but not enough to stop me from wanting more.

Author of the Day

Elin Barnes
Elin Barnes has done many different things in her life, like being a flight instructor, working for a criminal appeals lawyer and working for many big name technology companies in Silicon Valley (Microsoft, Google etc.). But the one thing that she never thought would actually happen is to write (and finish) a book. Her debut novel, Justification for Murder, has, in the meantime, earned rave reviews and grown into a series. As our author of the day, Barnes reveals why she picked Silicon Valley as the backdrop, her inspiration behind writing a biomedical thriller and how she went for ride-alongs with the San Jose Police Department.
