Wonderful story for any real vampire lover. I was interested to learn that this novel predates Bram Stocker's Dracula, and I love the use of female characters for its time period.
My husband and I read this story together and laughed out loud. The antics of the Budlong family as they try to outsmart their neighbors were truly a joy. It's a lighthearted tale that pokes fun at the excesses of Christmas, and I certainly recommend it.
