The Man on the Box

by Harold MacGrath

A romantic comedy set in the late nineteenth century. Excellent plot where the hero, who is an ex soldier, goes incognito as the stable groom for the woman he loves.
I would give five stars except for the writer's point of view.

A strong man stands up to a ruthless cattle baron.

The Hound From The North

by Ridgwell Cullum

A good movie script. Kind of a mystery where the reader is the only one who knows how all the characters are interconnected. A villain who owns a mean dog is the centerpiece for this story set in Canada.

The Carpet From Bagdad

by Harold MacGrath

Excellent plot and unique characters make for a good read. Although set almost a hundred years ago, would make a good background for an adventure movie. Not as good as Jagged edges but Worth the time.
