The God-Idea of the Ancients

by Eliza Burt Gamble

I feel that the writer has not read enough mystic literature, either about mystics or by mystics, ancient or modern, in order to come to her conclusion or premise. Also her language and mode of expression is unnecessarily dense and wordy. This appears to be a flaw common to many USA intellectuals. Also (just a small point) she has used 'comprehending' where 'comprising' is the correct word. Perhaps her editor could have picked that up. Siestog, maar toemaar!
