Lost on the Moon

by Roy Rockwood

I've just finished "Lost on the Moon". It was a fun read! The science was hilarious and far fetched, but hey, this is a 1911 boys adventure book. I loved every minute of it even though I'm an old man. It's a pretty good read with lots of cliff hangers. They just don't make books like this any more!

The Man with the Clubfoot

by Valentine Williams

This was a great book! Throughout the whole book Desmond was just one step ahead of danger and certain death.

In a effort to locate his lost brother behind enemy lines in Germany during WW-I, Des comes across half a letter that the German Kaiser would stop at nothing to get back. Lots of action and impossible escapes.

The book was very well written.

I Highly recommend this book for those who like adventure and espionage novels!

Gulliver of Mars

by Edwin L. Arnold

Slow moving at first, the book soon picks up and displays a mild Edgar Rice Bourroughs style of writing. As a whole it was interesting and kept my attention throughout. At times I couldn't put it down!

The Martian landscape that as detailed in the book is a far cry from reality. Thick forest and seas, etc. However if you overlook this, you will enjoy Gilliver's adventures as he sets out to rescue the princess.

If you like Burrough's Barsoom series, you should enjoy this book.

The Iron Pirate

by Max Pemberton

A Jolly Good Read!I just couldn't put it down. The adventure and mystery gave this book a "Captain Nemo" feel. I'll be reading more of Pemberton's works in the future.
