Mysterious Mr. Sabin

by E. Phillips Oppenheim

an enjoyable read. twists and turns galore. enjoyable descriptions about the upper-crust and by-gone days. i thought the way the book switched from following lord wolfenden to following mister sabin was strange. still enjoyed the book.

Buddy Holly is Alive and Well on Ganymede

by Bradley Denton

nothing deep here, but fun. humorous and enough action to keep the story moving. kind of in the vein of hitchhiker's guide. i enjoyed it.

A Knight of the White Cross

by G.A. Henty

good historical fiction for younger readers. the characters are too idealized and therefore not realistic, but nonetheless i enjoyed this. kind of like reading a comic book but with good attention to historical detail and descriptions. i will read more by Henty.

Three Men in a Boat

by Jerome K. Jerome

very funny in parts and dull in others. i was tempted to put it down but get going and kept being rewarded by laughs. only for it to get dull again. had some great lyrical passages about nature also. I don't think I will attempt 3 men on wheels or 3 men on a bummel, as i've read that this is the best of the three.
