The Intriguers

by Harold Bindloss

Not a very good name for the tale of the experiences in the American Northwest of a young English officer who has allowed himself to be suspected of cowardice to shield a cousin for the sake of his father. During the absence of the hero in the depths of the wilderness, a blackmail scheme is launched against the father by some scoundrels who know the facts as they occurred in India. The unscrupulous villain reaps his just reward as does the hero.
