Terry O'Gara is betrothed to the supposedly illegitimate daughter of an old friend whom his father had killed in a moment of passion. The plot hinges on the reaction of all the nice, conventional ladies and conservative men of the story to such a situation, and the final establishment of the girls birthright to the satisfaction of all. Setting is Irish country life.
