Language: English

Published: 2010

Fifteen years have passed since Rudder annexed Promontory. Seventeen years have passed since the Covenant's destruction. Born in-between those two events, TelZodo is coming of age in Crossroads. And he is in trouble.

He should have been a scientist like his parents, Ghost and Piri, but the lab and its corpses terrify him. His freedom from Yata dependence made him a celebrated hybrid child, but he is sterile. Living as a whore and driven to the brink of madness, TelZodo's only salvation is to return to his birthplace, Promontory, a city that once wanted him dead.

Living in Promontory and hobbled by poor health, TripStone's life is equally bleak. The region's austerity has made her hard, and the last thing she wants is a visit from Ghost's "crazy" son.

TelZodo's arrival plunges them into a battle of wills that strips them down to their emotional cores, leaving them no choice but to face their personal demons together -- if they don't kill each other first.

Language: English

Published: 2010

Maggie Sheffield's life has been haunted by seemingly disconnected tragedies, pieces that form a puzzle she doesn't understand. Her confusion about the past mirrors that of her whole world: they've been taught that the empire saved them from destruction, but then why does the empire seem bent on enslaving its own people? They've been taught that stories of an ancient war, a terrifying enemy, and a majestic king are all myths--but then why are those who try to learn more about them sabotaged or killed?

When a dying friend shows up at Maggie's island home bearing proof that the "myths" are not myths at all, but reality--and that the enemy of the ancient days is coming back, and their only hope of stopping him is in finding the King --Maggie agrees to carry the proof to a scholar on the continent who may be able to help her piece together the truth about her world and the secrets of her own past. Chased by shadow creatures bent on destroying them and reclaiming the proof they carry, Maggie, the Gypsy Nicolas Fisher, and the blind seer Virgina Ramsey journey toward truth, destiny, and revelations that will change their lives forever.

Worlds Unseen is the first book in the Seventh World Trilogy.

Language: English

Published: 2002

The Misspellers is not a book you pick, it's a book that picks you. It mostly tends to seek out people between the ages of 9 and 12. However, it has been seen with one-year-olds, as it is nice to chew, and with old people, for reasons still unexplained. The story is about two young people, Carlin and Jack. A neighbor asks them to water his plants while he is away. It's an awful job because the house smells of sour milk, burnt dinner and bad breath. Stranger yet is the lack of a telephone, a television or even a single light bulb. The house seems to have no electricity at all. Of course, Carlin and Jack wonder why, get nosey and learn the hard way that science and magic don't mix. If you don't like tales of spells, fairies and things gone terribly wrong, don't worry. This book won't find you. If you suspect they don't teach you everything in school . . . check it out.

Here is a novel from the 1916 pages of the half-fabled All Around magazine, full of the nostalgia and dreams of that era when the world was so much larger and life was, accordingly, less complicated.--> In J. Allan Dunn's THE TREASURE OF ATLANTIS, an orchid hunter's discovery is the catalyst that leads an expedition into the interior of South America to the lost remnant of ancient Atlantis. Cut off from the modern world, Atlantis offers swashbuckling intrigue, danger, and action that is eminently suitable for the "Time-Lost" series. Here is thrilling adventure out of the past in the Edgar Rice Burroughs tradition.
