Tom Swift Series

A series of juvenile adventure novels that began in the early twentieth century, featuring technology (especially transport technology) as a major focus. Written under the pseudonym Victor Appleton -- actually Howard Garis for most of the novels, as well as W. Bert Foster, John Duffield, and Thomas M. Mitchell, for the Stratemeyer Syndicate.
