There’s been all sorts of trouble with ePUB generation — haven’t tracked down the specific cause just yet, but I suspect there are several. Malformed HTML, permissions issues in the Calibre python scripts, and the occasional file ownership problem are combining to make this a messy problem.
Almost 20% of the ePub requests result in errors, so I’m turning it off for now.
