Folks have asked for this format since manybooks.net was first launched — thanks to the efforts of the Calibre team, you can now download ‘.lit’ ebooks at will.
Update: having a bit of trouble with the scripts, so .lit format has been removed until testing is complete.
I’m pretty tired, so I’ll make this short: there’s an DVD disk image (iso) of all available Kindle files, except for copyrighted or Creative Commons licensed works, ready to be downloaded via bittorent here.
If this works out well I’ll add ISOs for Sony (LRF) and Plucker (pdb) file formats. (Sony format is ready)
Files are organized into alphabetical sub-directories, and there’s an index file that lists authors and book titles at the root level of the image.
