Donations and Ads
Voluntary donations have really dropped off the last two months — down to almost nil — and so I’ve had to resort to displaying ads to make ends meet for manybooks.net… Bandwidth is the big expense, with 50,000 files downloaded each day.
The ads don’t seem too intrusive to me, but I really liked the pages better without them.
Thanks to everyone who has donated already, it’s really helped! I imagine that the same economic forces that make it difficult for folks to donate also make free ebooks even more useful.
