th the black-browed, dark-eyed beauty of a Cleopatra, for there was some Italian blood in her veins. This was a great story of good overcoming evil and finding true love. The ending was bitter sweet though, with the loss of an innocent life outweighing the happiness that usually comes at the end of a romance.

The characters were alright, but I could tell how the plot was goings end up from the beginning.

I was totally engrossed in this story from start to finish. The story had never-ending twists, and a millions interesting stories in one.

A good story by an author of "dime novels" for women. Although it is a romance, it's not overly melodramatic. The characters are interesting and there are plenty of plot twists to keep you reading.
