A puzzling and intriguing mystery sci-fi story about deaths on an alien planet. Fifty-nine men and one love interest land on a world that killed most of the first scout ship that landed.

You don't start thinking about things like biological impossibilities until the ending, so you can finish it without any alarm bells going off. A good little pulp adventure tale.
