Katherine Mitchell has lived a remarkable life and is a true embodiment of a Renaissance woman. With a passion for storytelling, she has been part of the entertainment industry as an agent, writer, and story analyst for film and television projects during her years in Los Angeles. Her talent and dedication earned her the coveted privilege of membership in the Writers Guild of America West. Katherine's creative journey expanded beyond the realm of screenplays as she ventured into the world of novels. With notable success, she has published three romantic adventure novels: YOURS FOREVER...MAYBE, WASTED...MAYBE, and SHELBY'S WAY...MAYBE. She is a frequent lecturer on the topic of screenwriting versus narrative. Throughout her life, Katherine has received endless encouragement from friends and colleagues to pen her memoir, an incredible tale encompassing her experiences as a war baby in Nazi Hungary, her daring escape from communism following the Russian invasion, and her subsequent journey to New York as a refugee, eventually finding her way to the "promised land" of Hollywood. In her memoir, titled From Budapest to Hollywood, Searching for the Promised Land, she recounts her life in New York and Hollywood, sharing the highs and lows of her multiple careers, motherhood, as well as her failures, mistakes, and hard-fought victories. Katherine's ultimate aspiration in revealing her life-journey is to inspire others to constantly hone their true selves and “be who you are until you find out who you want to be.” Currently residing in Florida, Katherine continues to pursue her passion for writing and is actively working on her forthcoming books, crafting new stories to captivate her readers.
