100% of all proceeds go directly to the Foundation.

Tell us more about the Oscar Mike Foundation and what they do.

The Oscar Mike Foundation is a non-profit organization whose primary mission is to provide support to injured Veterans looking for an opportunity to stay active and involved. By focusing on the arena of adaptive sports, the Oscar Mike Foundation assists in offering an outlet for an ongoing competitive lifestyle to thousands of American Veterans who have sacrificed for the defense of our freedoms.

How did you manage to get 15 action thrillers together for this cause?

It started with an idea and a simple goal: help military veterans.

International Bestselling Authors M.L. Banner and Jay J. Falconer began this quest in early October 2019 by reaching out to their author friends to see who might be interesting in joining this project.

The response was immediate, with many former, retired, and active military veterans hopping onboard.

Since then, the Author Group has been hard at work writing all-new action-thrillers and promoting the project across their network of fans and on social media. This limited-time release is set to launch on March 10th, 2020.

None of this would have happened though without the assistance of the founder of Oscar Mike, Noah Currier. He has been directly involved in this collaboration project and together, the Foundation and the Author Group hope to raise both funds and social awareness for this worthy cause.

What is the average length of the stories in this collection?

Each author’s contribution varies in length from roughly fifty pages to well over a hundred, but all the stories contain one or more characters with ties to the military. The various action-thriller plots focus on the “origins of honor.” Where it comes from? How it evolves? What it means?

Tell us more about the cover for this collection, and how it came about.

The founders of this project, M.L. Banner and Jay J. Falconer, worked with a cover designer for several weeks, designing and testing several incarnations, looking for something that would represent the heart of a warrior. They envisioned a cover that was both patriotic and one that symbolized the types of stories the Author Group was hard at work producing. Once several good choices were available, the mock-ups were shown to the Author Group for a vote. The winner is the cover you see.

The stories in this collection focus a lot on what it takes to be a hero. What do you think are the qualities of a true hero?

Heroes are the men and women who put themselves on the line for others. They willingly sacrifice their time, energy, safety, and sometimes even their lives in service of a greater cause. Heroes live their lives with three simple rules: honor, dignity, and respect. They are the ones who stand up for what is right, even when no one else will. They protect and serve the weak, the defenseless, and the vulnerable, putting their love for country and neighbor above all else.

Are you planning on putting together collections like this more often?

Yes. The Author Group would like to help more non-profit organizations in the future with similar releases, though a timetable has not been set yet.

Everyone in the group is heads-down focused on the current project, working hard to insure its maximum effectiveness.

Why is it so important that readers report this cause?

Because 100% of all proceeds go directly to help our wounded warriors. They stood in for us at great harm to themselves and now we must stand in for them with our love and support.
