Carl Heerwagen’s book reviews

This story by the author is much better. If you can get through the heavily accented conversation you will find how much a jewel it is.

I find this story slow and somewhat confusing. Not enough explanation of why the characters did what they did and meaning of terms. Notenough meaning as why they felt what they did.

I find this book very interesting. Not only it shows scandal but it gives a look into the Russian aristocracy in all its complexities.
