Fans of Rod Sterling’s Twilight Zone will probably recognize this story pretty quickly – it’s pretty obvious that this story was the basis for one of the episodes. It’s a pretty good read although my memory of the TZ episode kept interfering with my reading.
Jealous suitor gives ex-love, Elasin, a mirror which transports her psyche to that of a 17th/18th century ancestor who, history tells us, is brutally killed by an evil baron's henchmen. A lot of the story revolves around the fiance and father-inlaw-to-be scientist figuring out what happened and how to save Elaine.
Fairly good. Not too deep, stereotypical characters, something of a surprise ending - it was okay.
