The reason that this book is celebrated is certainly not the uniqueness of its plot. The real significance of this book lies in the unique and original themes(or sub-themes) which run through it, specifically the relation of art and fantasy to real world.
Though in modern times, many may find the plot a little bit hackneyed. But no one can contend the mastery of this novel. the way plot unfolds, the heart-rending scenes and the mastery of emotions is just amazing
