The Jameson Satellite

by Neil Ronald Jones

A brilliant yarn of time travel of the dead, reanimation, further reanimation, and alien first contact with a dying world.

Isaac Asimov included this story in his anthology of "Before The Golden Age" with good reason. Now through ManyBooks I have my own copy in Ebook form.

Action, philosophy, time travel, alien contact, all in the style of my favorite period of Sci Fi short stories. Highly recommended!

The Flying Legion

by George Allan England

Rousing adventure, predictable romance, and heartless manipulation: The Flying Legion is a lot of fun as long as you are not too concerned about a strong moral grounding.

I recommend it overall as a fun read, but the introspective passages really drag.

Author of the Day

Elin Barnes
Elin Barnes has done many different things in her life, like being a flight instructor, working for a criminal appeals lawyer and working for many big name technology companies in Silicon Valley (Microsoft, Google etc.). But the one thing that she never thought would actually happen is to write (and finish) a book. Her debut novel, Justification for Murder, has, in the meantime, earned rave reviews and grown into a series. As our author of the day, Barnes reveals why she picked Silicon Valley as the backdrop, her inspiration behind writing a biomedical thriller and how she went for ride-alongs with the San Jose Police Department.
