One of the most beautifully written and frightening stories I've ever read. Lovecraft's use of language to convey a truly horrific scenario is perhaps unequalled. This is a mesmerizing story, one of his best.

Another excellent story by Lovecraft, regarding the demise of a family who comes in contact with a suspicious meteorite.
