I felt totally robbed after reading this story. It is pointless and leaves you hanging with no satisfaction at all. Simply put, it's about the end of the world and there's little more to it than that.

A plausable end-of-the-world story from 1953. Despite cold-war fears in the story, it isn't dated at all. I was kept puzzled to the end, even as the evidence piled up. What I thought was careless science turned out to be very good science.
See if you can figure it out.
