Please give us a short introduction to what Hawke: Billionaire Romance is about.

Hawke is a stand-alone, billionaire romance, with the two things I love the most in a contemporary romance: love at first sight and Christmas in paradise.

What inspired you to write this story?

I’m a sucker for love at first sight and as a girl who grew up in Hawaii, Christmas was more about sand and palm trees than snow and Christmas trees. I wanted to write both of those into a romance because they both feed my soul. It’s a bit like coming back home for me.

Tell us more about Quinn Hayes. What makes her tick?

Quinn Hayes is a brilliant scientist. She’s driven to succeed and is a bit awkward around other people. Which is funny considering she’s the CEO of her dream company. At the company Christmas party she gets engaged and is close to receiving the venture capital to make all her dreams come true. But, that would make for a very short story. Things happen and her venture capital goes out the window. I wanted to write a story about a strong, intellectually driven woman who is succeeding in the workforce and killing it. I also wanted to write how resilient she can be when her world crumbles. I think we need more strong, successful women in our romances.

Besides writing, what other secret skills do you have?

LOL…not sure. But I’m a doctor by day who loves to write at night. My husband is a car guy, but after 32 yrs of marriage I still can’t spout off make and model of his favorite classic cars.

What is your trick to writing characters people care about?

I write about characters I’d like to have as friends. I may, or may not, pull heavily from my quirky friends and family for inspiration. ALSO, every bad boyfriend in my books is named Scott. There’s a reason for that.

What makes Hawke Sterling such a great love interest?

He’s great because he’s absolutely NOT looking for love. And I love when these strong alpha males are totally knocked off their feet when the right woman comes along. Hello Love at First Sight.

This book is part of the Billionaire Boys Club series. Can it be read as a standalone? How do the other books in the series tie in with this one?

All the books in the series are standalone books and can be read in any order. Other than the fact all the man are billionaires, there are some loose ties via business arrangements that tie them together.

Do you believe in true love in real life?

ABSOLUTELY! Met and married my husband in four months. We both knew on our first date that we’d found our ONE. We’ve been together for 32 years, so I think it works. FUN FACT, we eloped in Vegas, then had a second wedding on our six month anniversary. My parents still don’t know we eloped…...

What did you have the most fun with while writing this story?

For me it was about writing Christmas in Paradise. Growing up in Hawaii, we opened presents in the morning and went snorkeling or boogyboarding for the rest of the day.

Are you a plotter or a pantser? Do you plan the entire plot ahead of time, or does some of it just "happen" along the way?

TOTAL panster. I have NO IDEA what comes next.

What are you working on right now?
