Le Jules César a été représenté, corrigé par Dryden et Davenant, sous le titre de Julius Cæsar, with the death of Brutus, imprimé à Londres en 1719.

Le duc de Buckingham a aussi retravaillé cette même tragédie qu'il a séparée en deux parties, la première sous le titre de Julius Cæsar, avec des changements, un prologue et un choeur; la seconde sous le titre de Marcus Brutus, avec un prologue et deux choeurs; toutes deux imprimées en 1722.
