Earth and Aliens are fighting over our sector of space, but Earth has a new weapon that the aliens can't defend against. The aliens are telepathic, but all the workers at the weapon factory have telepathy shields--except that Alice is having an affair with a married man, and she lets her shield run down. The alien Riuku invades her mind, but the same thing that allowed her shield to run down--the affair--dominates her thinking.

Tom is a cad, Alice should know better, and the aliens get what they deserve.
