Eight years ago the December Plague swept through the human population of earth. The Infected were driven mad by the disease, becoming violent and cannibalistic, killing even those closest to them without hesitation.

Six years ago, the tiny surviving community of Immune humans found a cure, and the Infected began to wake up and realize what they'd done. And what had been done to them.

Over time, society began to rebuild itself. Now it is ready to judge those responsible for the Plague. Nella Rider, the court psychologist and Frank Courtlen a defense attorney are trying to establish the truth. But more depends on it than they know. They race to find the answers they need before the fragile remains of humanity vanish for good.

So it's not necessarily the most eloquently written, some of the science isn't super clear and the two main characters fall in love hella fast. But honestly, it was a really interesting idea, and I ended up enjoying this read a lot. It's a refreshing way to tell a post-apocalypse era, the story gives an interesting blend of what happened to 'end the world' and how the world is managing now.
Very well written book, I would say rivalling some of the best published modern authors in a time when original stories have become hard to find. Given the quality of it was thrilled to get it for free but would definitely pay for any other available works.
i loved this book being a massive zombie genre fan,i hate horror films but classify zombie films as chase/survival films, so to read this book with the reverse twist on the plague eg zombie cure remembering everything that happened to you was inspired and really made it different and held my attention,i took my e book on holiday to dartmoor and got a few strange looks from people when reading instead of enjoying my holiday.didnt have a dull chapter great work.
This was a pretty good read. I downloaded it to read while commuting and after a couple of trips, wound up finishing it at home that evening instead of TV.

Kind of like reading the story inside a video game, once you really get into the story.
