"Driven by an old hag. . . . A covered cart . . ."

"There were a dozen . . ."

"An old hag who said her son had the plague?"

I enjoyed listening and reading of this book. Good book for practicing of English.
The plot is quite exciting with good tempo.
But narration sometimes contains little more feminine presentation of the story.
This was an excellent story and I’m looking forward to reading the rest of her works. I don’t recall how I learned of this book, but am a big fan of Rafael Sabatini which writes romance fiction set in the same period
Excellent adventure tale. I thought the heavy doses of feminine introspection sidetracked the plot sometimes, but still very good.
