Following a school bus accident that left her paralyzed from the waist down, Melanie has found profound purpose in her God-given talent as an artist. “I wasn’t in an accident; I was in a purpose. With God’s help, I’ve been able to share with others through art. I began drawing photo-realistic drawings of things I was passionate about such as the Cincinnati Reds, baseball, portraits of Cincinnati Reds players and portraits of other athletes. My current passion is fluid paintings of flowers in alcohol ink.” Melanie’s work has been featured in art exhibits. She has won awards for her work and has been profiled in several publications such as Cincinnati magazine and Reds Report. Melanie lives in Springboro Ohio, where she works in her home studio. She is inspired by the beauty of God’s creation. Melanie’s passion for God and for her art inspired her to write a prayer journal sharing her testimony of the goodness of God in her life. Her hope and prayer is to encourage others to face all of their challenges with courage and confidence in a God who is fighting for them.
