Jason B. Baker is a rural Illinois native and career military officer. His first book, "Chicago To Appomattox," was a narrative nonfiction title chronicling the impressive journey of a Civil War regiment his ancestors were in. Jason's fiction titles, The Ace's Bounty, the War Remains, and The Sheriff's Pursuit use his study of Civil War-era America to place exciting adventure stories and mysteries in historically accurate portrayals of the time. Jason enjoys following the University of Illinois and Chicago sports teams, reading narrative nonfiction and historical fiction, playing golf, and visiting museums, historical sites, battlefields, and ballparks with his family. He is an active-level member of the Western Writers of America and a Color Bearer Donor to the American Battlefield Trust. Jason, his wife, and two young sons reside in Northern Virginia.
