David Z Hirsch may not have actually written the first draft of Didn’t Get Frazzled on bark peeled off a dying Manchurian Ash tree. And despite his author bio on Amazon, he probably also didn't subsist for three years by foraging gooseberries and licking the dew off spiny toads after a daring escape from a North Korean prison camp. But really, who knows? It's a pen name. Anything's possible. More likely he's a Maryland physician with a story to tell that has been described as "funny, gross, sarcastic, irreverent, and touching." Then again, fiction writers are a wacky bunch. Best not to stress the details.
